Dual-band Bandpass Plasmonic Filter Based on Effective Localized Surface Plasmon Resonators

A dual-band bandpass plasmonic filter based on quarter-wavelength effective localized surface plasmon resonators (ELSPRs) is proposed in this work. Compared with conventional microstrip resonators, ELSPRs have a larger unloaded quality factor and compact size, which can be flexibly designed. Since the harmonics of are located only at odd times their dominant mode frequency, we not miniaturize but achieve excellent out-of-band rejection performance. For demonstration, design fabricate filter, whose size 0.0396λ2 0 center frequency 3.1 GHz 3.6 GHz, relative bandwidth 10.7% 7.7% respectively. Measurement results show agreement simulations. Our provide route for realizing ultra-compact high-performance functional devices fifth generation (5G) applications
